I love this season, not least because it contains some of my earliest memories – not just of Doctor Who but anything at all. They burned their way into my imagination. From the moment the evil face of the Malus emerged from the crack in the church wall I was terrified – and hooked! For some reason, the sight of the broken TARDIS walls in Frontios scared me just as much. I think even then, I understood the TARDIS to be a place of safety. The happenstance of those scenes being on our television when I was knee high to a grasshopper led to a lifetime of me being a fan. Hooray for Season 21! – Code Nine x
