We’ve reached the modern series in our Dalek marathon – the last stop before we’re exterminated! Where would Doctor Who be without the Daleks, after all? Someone online recently told me he calls the Dalek Emperor “an angry chess piece” which I can’t get out of my head and makes chuckle every time I think of it. It’s such an apt description for all the Daleks. The regular ones, by extension, being like pawns on a chess board.
