In some respects, the Great Intelligence is one of the minor baddies of Doctor Who, but it has been lurking around the Earth for a very long time. Debuting in The Abominable Snowmen in the 1960s, arguably its seminal story is the sequel, The Web of Fear – a story known for introducing another long standing character, the Brigadier. I enjoyed the return of the Great Intelligence in the Matt Smith era of the show too, but I did miss its old modus operandi. How great would it have been to see Yeti stomping through 21st Century London? Never mind, we celebrate all things Yeti here and now! – Code Nine x
